They were even very apologetic for almost shooting Mae and most of them held nothing against Gregg for shooting one of them with an arrow (victim of said shooting being the sole exception, but that's to be expected). They clearly don't enjoy the acts they are committing and have no plans to hurt Mae and the others even if they choose not to join the cult.
